Holland Christian was impressed with Forseth’s experience in K-12 and higher education and his experience as a “leader of leaders.”
“With much deliberation and prayer, the Holland Christian Board of Trustees is unanimous in our certainty that God provided Eric Forseth with the experiences, talents and leadership abilities to ensure we stay true to our mission in partnership with our families and churches,” said Jeff Pett, president of the school’s board of trustees. “We are blessed to find a candidate who we are confident will capably lead our school’s the mission of “equipping minds and nurturing hearts to transform the world for Jesus Christ.” Holland Political News
“He understands, supports and can readily articulate the school’s educational philosophy for Reformed education,” search committee chair Stacy Jackson added. “The school is confident he will be a faithful steward of our budget, endowment and campus resources.”
Former Hope College President Jim Bultman has been serving as interim superintendent of Holland Christian since at least January 2019.
Pett thanked Bultman in a post on the district website, saying ”(Bultman’s) leadership has been outstanding and has helped prepare our school for moving forward with a new Head of Schools.”
Bultman stepped into the role to replace former superintendent Dan Meester, who resigned Nov. 19, 2018. Meester’s resignation came seven months after being named in a federal lawsuit by a former student who said the school violated her Title IX rights. That lawsuit was settled in May 2019.
